Object Detection

Object detection is a computer vision technique that involves identifying and locating objects within an image or a video. The goal is to not only classify objects (what the objects are) but also to precisely localize them in the image (where they are).

How Object Detection Works

Object detection typically involves the use of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) that can classify and localize multiple objects in a single image. Techniques like Region-CNN (R-CNN), You Only Look Once (YOLO), and Single Shot MultiBox Detector (SSD) are popular for this task. These models produce bounding boxes around objects and assign class labels to each box.
